　　As a public institution, supporting and promoting written culture was already a major goal of the public radio, reading and listening to the radio had a non-disputable compatibility, not to mention their similar status and the challenges they face in the present new media age.

　　Mr. Ovidiu Miculescu, President Director of Radio Romania introduced their business on promoting cultural?development at the RADIO ASIA 2016. As one of the most reliable and credible institutions in Romania, they carry out a series of events, like the noted Gaudeamus International Book and Education Fair (GIBEF). The tradition was introduced in 2010, it provides the opportunity for Romanian public and professionals to get to know and do business with publishers, agents and writers from abroad. GIBF is ranked by professionals in the field among the top 10 European Book Fairs.

　　This year it will be honored to welcome China as Guest of Honor of GIBEF 2016. The Guest of Honor program also opens new opportunities for cooperation between Radio Romania and the public broadcasters from the country of honor.
